Fall Conference Recap SEBRING, Florida -- The Fall Conference of the Sunshine Baptist Fellowship was held October 24-25, 2011. The keynote speaker was Dr. John Greening, national representative of the General Association of Regular Baptist Churches. Greening centered on the theme of "Godliness" with sermons about developing personal Godliness, Godliness in the church, and Godliness in action. Ladies Fall Into Missions LAKELAND, Florida -- On Tuesday, October 12, 2011, the Sunshine Ladies Missionary Fellowship met at Fellowship Baptist Church in Lakeland. Ninety ladies attended representing fourteen different Florida churches. The
morning speaker was Helen Wing who currently serves with EBI (Spanish publications) in Sebring. She referenced the theme, "Fall into Missions" by sharing experiences of her own life as a missionary teacher to Brazil and also how God sees us through the changes He allows in our lives. Read More

Camp Sparta Under New Ownership SEBRING, Florida -- On August 17, 2011, the assets, liabilities, and full ownership rights of Camp Sparta were transferred to The Master's Academy, a
ministry based in Oviedo, Florida. For the last several years Camp
Sparta had been running with a serious financial deficit, and was on the
verge of closure. Sources close to the camp have called this transfer
of ownership a “miracle” and a “new birth” for the ministry of Camp
Sparta. Instead of closing a long-time ministry, the camp will continue
to run and prosper. The Master's Academy plans to continue to run a
camping program on the location while continuing the camp's well known

Mugs and Goblets Retreat to Sebring SEBRING, Florida -- Fifteen couples were represented at the 2011 Pastors and Wives
Retreat in Sebring May 9-10. These pastors and missionaries -- from as
far north as Jacksonville and as far south as Miami -- met in central
Florida to spend two days with their colleagues at Inn on the Lakes
hotel. The retreat consisted of four teaching sessions, optional game
time, a night at the hotel, breakfast, and lunch. Read More |
