"Memory Man" to visit Broadview Baptist
NORTH LAUDERDALE, Florida -- Broadview Baptist Church will host a Scripture
memorization event January 22, 2012. Tom Meyer of Wordsower Ministries will be quoting from memory Genesis 1-11 and the entire book of Revelation. He will also be teaching a Bible memorization workshop during the 9:45 Sunday School hour.
Tom Meyer has become known internationally as a Bible teacher and Scripture memory enthusiast. In addition to his studies and evangelistic ministry in Israel, Meyer travels throughout the United States quoting the Scriptures at churches, AWANA events, and other Christian venues. He has been invited several times to share his ministry with staff and visitors at Ken Ham's Creation Museam in Petersburg, Kentucky. Ken Ham has dubbed Tom Meyers "The Memory Man."
Mr. Meyer has a unique memorization technique which includes counting the number of words in each verse and using that number as an aid to remember what the verse says. For Meyer, the process has worked well, allowing him to memorize ten complete books of the Bible!
Wordsowers and the memorization ministry of Tom Meyer has been covered by many news outlets including the Christian Post, the St. Cloud Times and San Diego 10 News. Meyer is also the author of a published book, Oral Transmission in Judiasm and Christianity.
